Onni The Baby Cockatoo Thinks He's a Dentist
Everything in the world is new to a baby. Including a baby cockatoo named Onni. Although Onni is 2 years old, he is still a baby in cockatoo years as this species lives up to 80 years old! And he still finds things in the world to explore. Here he examines his owners mouth. He discovered an interest in human mouths early on and has always been fascinated with them, but each time is like the first to him. Or is it he just wants to grow up to be a dentist? Time will tell for this inquisitive and beautiful companion.
Onni means happiness and luck in Finnish which is exactly what this cheeky bird brings to the world. However he is not from Finland. Onni is an Umbrella Cockatoo. The Umbrella Cockatoo, also known as the White Cockatoo, is from Indonesia. Due to the aggressive encroachment by humans into its only home in the world, it is now critically endangered.
