Radios are known to cause many student pilots a lot of anxiety. Here are basic how tos as well as tips and tricks to make talking on the radio easier. Get over nervousness and learn how to talk to Air Traffic Control and Ground Control. Get VFR taxi and take off clearance from the tower.
This is aimed at Class D, controlled airports, in typical VFR (clear weather) conditions. Good for GA (General Aviation) student pilots and for review by pilots who don't fly out of controlled airspace very often. Talk to the tower like a pro with these pointers on radio procedure.
Confidence on the radio is a significant part of passing stage checks and check rides (practical exams). Here's the way to get it.
