Great Dane Goes to Visit Oncologist Vet for Osteosarcoma

There is no good way to give bad news. We have always tried to keep Max and Katie the Great Danes You Tube Channel and Face Book pages full of good and fun news, but unfortunately we have received some devastating news. Our dear sweet Katie has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. She has Bone Cancer on her back right leg. Since Max and Katie are almost 8, our oncologist didn't feel that Amputation or Chemo would extend Katie's life to more than 9 - 12 months, so we are opting for palliative care and hoping she will exceed the diagnosis of 3- 4 month survival. Sid the cat is still happily showering 16 months after a similar diagnosis, so we are hoping Katie will beat the odds. Aside from this video, we are going to continue with daily video happy Max & Katie & cat adventures. Please keep Katie and Max in your thoughts.
