I’m Papa Penguin and this is your Military Minute.

We’ve got a new one, an Air Force 2 star who has the manners of a drunk 0331 who just got divorced. He’s been accused of sticking his man parts where they don’t belong, when invited and not invited. He tried to pull an Uno reverse by submitting his retirement papers. If they let him retire he likely won’t face any charges. Allowing that would definitely create an environment of good order and discipline.

The Department of the Navy has decided to transfer pregnant service members for 2 years instead of continuing the practice of sending them TAD until they deliver. Then they were shipped back to their previous command. The old policy resulted in operational commands being gapped a billet and no idea when or if they would ever get a trained replacement.

The Sailor had to rush to establish a dependent care plan, find someone to attend to her child while she was deployed and do this on a tight schedule.

Transferring them for 2 years solves quite a few of these problems.

Lastly, we have Capt Harpreet Chandi breaking the women’s world record for speed skiing to the south pole. This meant she had to haul her supplies weighing 75lbs and move for 12-14 hours a day. She did this for a whole month. No small feat. And she beat the previous world record by a day and a half.

Pretty damn impressive.
