Donald Trump has been ordered to pay $83.3m (£65.6m) for defaming the writer E Jean Carroll

The jury in his slander preliminary said he should pay $18.3m in pay harms for profound and reputational hurt, and $65m in correctional harms
Carroll considered it a "enormous loss for each harasser who has attempted to hold a lady down". Trump referred to the result as "Totally ludicrous!"
