Columbus Day Fly In 2020

Hang glider and paraglider pilots enjoyed the Columbus Day Fly In on October 9 through 11. There were many good flights and some dramatic landings with no injuries.Show more

The air was hazy with smoke from wildfires in states to the west. The road to the launch was in bad shape so driving was like a 4WD commercial in places. Altitude at the launch is 7000ft (2,133m) and it was about 80F (26.7C).

Terry Cummings provided delicious food at the landing zone. Robin Hastings set up his telescope for viewing of planets. Chris Grotbeck and Robin played the guitar and sang.
