BLM: a poem

Gather ‘round boys and girls
As I regale you with the tale
Of the riots of ‘23 ‘tween the sugar-sweets and malted swirls—
‘Tween the rooftop Chupa Chups and the underground Trolli rail.

The skirmish, it seems, had Twizzlers at its Roots.
A verbal kit for kat concerning Jimmies Redvining,
Blockbusting Wiley Wallaby and Galaxy chocolate flutes,
And Milka cannibalizing 100 Grand leaving all the rest pining.

There was caramelized debate of circumference and texture
Each side maintained theirs the better silly straw and other such confection.
The Coolers did not prevail; we Lollipop-ed Warhead conjecture.
All of this and more, we Snicker-ed with little self reflection.

While the white nuget center ate their Payday to get fatter,
I sat in a struggle session for not protesting; Black Licorice Matters.
