WH To 25 Republican Governors Supporting Texas: "The Way We Deal With This Is Legislatively"

White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre told 25 Republican state governors supporting Texas in the standoff with the federal government over border security to talk to the members of Congress representing their states and urge them to solve the problem legislatively.

KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: My message to... those 25 governors... I would say to them, that if they truly want to help with the issue at the border, with the immigration system, they need to talk to their Congressional members and senators of their states. They need to ask them to make sure they have the resources they need within their respective states to take action, to actually deal with a broken system.

The way we deal with this is legislatively. The way we deal with this is for Congress to act. That's what those 25 Republican governors need to do. They really want to help? They really want to assist? They really want to see change with the immigration system? They really want to fix the challenges that we see at the border? Then they should talk to their senators and Congressmen.
