The full meeting of the Fairfield County Commissioners' weekly meeting for January 23, 2024. This week's Rogue Media Reports recording of the meeting began in-progress after the livestream had already begun. According to the review agenda, two new personnel introductions were not recorded: new Court IT Manager, Daniel Thompson (introduced by Clerk of Courts Branden Meyer) and new In-Person EAP Counselor, Judy Wymer, M.Ed., LPCC-S. Recoding joined in-progress the Listen & Learn session with Judge Terre Vandervoort talking about the Fairfield County School Threat Assessment Response group.

The Commission then took public interview and introductions from two candidates for the Airport Board: John Smith and Kreig Babbert.

Public Comments started at 25:30 and ran through 36:51. Ray Stemen of Lancaster spoke on the 50-year "anniversary" of the Roe vs. Wade decision and how that relates to state's rights, but more importantly the moral state of the nation. Ray then offered a public Christian prayer.

Jeff Williamson of Greenfield Township talked about the pending Industrial Solar Exclusionary Zone resolutions presented by several townships that are before the Commissioners. Mr. Williamson also spoke about having obtained an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) that the solar companies are using as a paid "gag-order" on neighbors of solar projects where signers receive $2,000 at signing and then another $15,000 once a project is started. The supposition being this prevents opposition forming or preventing those that have "second-thoughts" from speaking out. https://citizensforfairfields.org/

Judy Stemen of Lancaster, spoke about the need to recognize God in the affairs of men; especially from those in governmental authority.

Chris Steiner (it was hard to hear his name clearly) of National Grid Renewables, invited the Commissioners to take a tour of one of more the current projects in Ohio, namely Yellowbud in Ross and Pickaway counties. https://nationalgridrenewables.com/projects/yellowbud/

The remainder of the meeting were items related to the regular County Administrative Update(s) and the commission's "voting pattern".
