Australian Scientists Create Pill That Traces The Gas In Our Bodies

There are so many things we don’t know about the human body. We are aiming for the stars, searching the bottom of the ocean but we’re still lacking knowledge about what’s going on inside of us. The main reason for this is probably the fact that we are lacking the proper instruments and maybe even evolution is to blame, but either way, that doesn’t stop us from celebrating each new discovery as monumental.

The first microscope was invented in 1590, allowing for a more detailed view of the tiny particles that create our bodies. We’ve been able to look at the composition of different kinds of cells and even look further inside their chemical structure. Learning all of this helps us understand how they interact with each other and how they basically keep us alive on a daily basis.

Australian scientists have done a remarkable job at finding out how our body keeps up with gas. Gas, as you all now, is usually a by-product of the chemical reactions in our bodies and as such, it needs to escape our bodies in one way or another. We’ve all experienced one or two instances where having gas trapped inside our digestive system made our bellies ache so much it was extremely uncomfortable. The scientists managed to create a tiny device the size of a pill that tracks the behavior of gas inside our bodies. It can tell us which foods create which amount, how long does it take for our body to expel it and even detect colon cancer. Basically, this one pill can make an even more thorough examination of our insides than before. And it’s pretty cool!
