Weymouth says “shut out”
NAB says "expelled"
ISV says "Thrown out"
GNT says "expelled"
DRB says "To cast out"
CEV “Do not have anything to do with anyone who has faith in Jesus”…
Aramaic says lest they would end up "outside the synagogue"…
HSBC says “for fear that they would be banned from the synagogue"…
AMP says "excommunicated"
NLT says "expel"
Next verse, it says that they preferred the praise from people over the praise from God (verse 43).
