International Court of Justice (ICJ), or World Court, to issue a ruling on South Africa's request for emergency measures against Israel, accusing it of state-led genocide in Gaza.

ICJ ruling, scheduled for 12 pm GMT, to focus on an interim order compelling Israel to suspend military operations, not the merits of the genocide allegations.

In the three-month-long conflict, Israel's campaign has displaced 1.9 million Palestinians, causing at least 25,900 deaths, according to Gaza officials. The offensive began in October after Hamas militants killed 1,200 people and took 240 hostages in southern Israel.

Israel denies the allegations of genocide, calling them false and "grossly distorted," emphasizing efforts to minimize civilian casualties.

ICJ rulings are final, but there's no enforcement mechanism. Israel expresses confidence that the ICJ will dismiss the charges, while Hamas pledges compliance with an ICJ ceasefire order if Israel reciprocates.
