SYNOPSIS
Martin the Cobbler is grief stricken following the death of his son Peter. He is left without family and questioning why he should go on living. The day of visitation is not what Martin was expecting, but far more than he imagined.

NOTES
Midway through his life Tolstoy, the 19th century Russian author of War and Peace and Anna Karenina, had a personal religious revelation after years of soul searching and studying the New Testament. This short story followed and is fashioned around Mark 9:24, "Lord, I believe. Help thou mine unbelief."
