Tucker Carlson Leaves Voicemail for Trudeau: ‘We’re Coming to Liberate Canada’

Tucker Carlson is warning Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that he's on his way to "liberate" the country.

The former Fox News host, who recently launched his own media company, posted a video to Instagram on Monday evening, showing him calling a Canadian government media line and leaving a voicemail.

"Yes, hi, I couldn't understand the French part, but it's Tucker Carlson calling from the United States and I'd be grateful if you'd pass a message on to the prime minister, Justin Trudeau," Carlson said. "We are coming to liberate Canada. We are coming to liberate Canada, and we'll be there soon. Merci."

In a comment on the video, he teased, "See you soon, Canada."

This is not the first time Carlson has taken a South Park-level focus on Canada and Trudeau. On his former Fox Nation show last year, he compared Trudeau to the late Cuban dictator Fidel Castro and also suggested a liberation.

He was highly critical of COVID pandemic restrictions in the country and he's accused Trudeau of wanting to morph Canada into a Cuba-like nation. A documentary on Canada and Trudeau from Carlson was pulled from the schedule after Carlson and the network parted ways last year.

"Why don't we liberate it? We're spending all this money to liberate Ukraine from the Russians, why are we not sending an armed force to liberate Canada from Trudeau? And I mean it," Carlson said at the time.
