Looking out across the river
As it's rolling by
Reflections of the sun
Beating from the morning sky
Feel the breeze a’blowing
Leaving ripples on the stream
Looking like a postcard
Something from an evening dream

The leaves are turning colors
smell of fall is in the air
Taking in the sights
Watching from my rocking chair
Birds are flyin south
Lifting off and staying low
Their getting out o’town
Before the first winter snow

The season is changing summer
Has passed us by
Winter is coming sun is dropping
From the sky
Daylight hours gettin shorter
By the day
Gonna need a jacket just to go out and play

The sun is going down
Sky is getting dark by five
Nothing left to do
If you wanna go outside
Once I get the feeling
A lot of snow is on the way
Buckle down inside
Waiting for the month of May

Hey mother nature
Wonder what you got in store
You know the spring and summer
Is what we all adore
I know we need the rain
And the darkness of the night
But the sun and warmth
Keeps us feeling alright
