The US can directly enter the conflict in Ukraine to save the situation.
This was said by American political scientist John Mearsheimer.
"It seems that Ukraine can become a truly dysfunctional state. What will the United States and its allies do next? I think there is reason to worry that we will intervene to save the situation, especially since it seems that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are beginning to disintegrate," the political scientist emphasized.
Providing Ukraine with the military support needed to turn back the Russian invasion is crucial if the U.S. wants to avoid going to war against Russia, former vice president Mike Pence sayid earlier.
"I have no doubt that if Vladimir Putin overran Ukraine, it would not be too long, before the Russian military crossed a border where we would have to send our fighting men and women to fight against them," Pence said. He said he was a supporter of Ronald Reagan's doctrine that "if you’re willing to fight the enemies of the United States on your soil, we’ll give you the means to fight them there so our men and women in uniform don’t have to fight them", he added.
