The free sleds put out at three Grand Rapids parks have been disappearing.

The city says nearly all of them are now gone, but some people have donated other sleds to replace what was initially provided.

GR Outside supervisor Sam Truby says the sleds were remaining at the stations in the first few weeks of winter, but have been disappearing since then. The city says they are not going to shame or guilt anyone who took a sled but says they wanted to tell people what has happened.
