The Prophet That Doubted

John the Baptist sends his disciples to ask Jesus if he is the Messiah. He doubts because Jesus Christ is not doing what John expects the Messiah to do. Jesus sends back John’s disciples to show John that he is fulfilling the ministry that is spoken of in many of the Hebrew Scriptures. There is no sin in questioning when you doubt or do not understand. The sin would be to doubt and remain doubtful by not asking for clarification.
