Following a news "leak" made by Alex Jones earlier this month, a Biden administration spokesperson announced a $1.4 billion investment in developing the so-called next generation of COVID-19 vaccines and treatments. The spokesperson went on to state that the funding is part of the $5 billion program that is hoped will help to get the country ahead of any future changes in COVID-19. The Biden administration spokesperson further stated the $1.4 billion in funding should allow clinical trials for a new monoclonal antibody to start this autumn with clinical trials for a new COVID-19 vaccine starting as soon as the winter. At the announcement's end, the spokesperson said it is expected an additional announcement would be made near or at the end of September of still more funding being allocated to Project NextGen programs.
