The United States and the United Kingdom have started working together to launch air attacks against specific locations associated with the Houthi group in Yemen. According to two officials from the US Department of Defense who spoke to CBS News, the strikes are focused on various targets, including radars. The Houthis, who receive support from Iran, have been attacking ships that they believe have connections with Israel and pass through the crucial Red Sea trade route. The US and UK have mentioned before that they are committed to safeguarding this important route. This recent strike marks the eighth time the US has taken action against Houthi targets in Yemen, and it is the second instance of joint operations between the US and the UK.
