200 officers expected in parade to Sant'Ana Palace

The platform that unites the PSP unions and the GNR associations has scheduled a sit-in at Portas da Cidade this Wednesday, followed by a parade to Sant'Ana Palace, the official residence of the President of the Regional Government of the Azores.
The action follows the protests that have been taking place all over the region since January 8, and is related to the "demand for the restructuring of pay supplements, for the valorization and dignification of professionals", as can be read in the platform's statement.

Die Plattform, die die Gewerkschaften PSP und GNR vereinigt, hat für diesen Mittwoch eine Sitzblockade in Portas da Cidade geplant, gefolgt von einem Umzug zum Sant'Ana-Palast, dem offiziellen Sitz des Präsidenten der Regionalregierung der Azoren.
Die Aktion schließt sich an die Proteste an, die seit dem 8. Januar in der gesamten Region stattfinden, und steht im Zusammenhang mit der "Forderung nach einer Umstrukturierung der Lohnzuschläge, nach Aufwertung und Würde der Fachkräfte", wie es in der Erklärung der Plattform heißt.

A plataforma que une os sindicatos da PSPe as associações da GNR agendaram para esta quarta-feira uma concentração nas Portas da Cidade, seguindo-se um desfile até ao palácio de Sant’Ana, residência oficial do presidente do Governo Regional dos Açores.
A ação dá sequência aos protestos que têm decorrido um pouco por toda a parte na Região desde 8 de janeiro, e prende-se com a “reivindicação pela reestruturação de suplementos remuneratórios, pela valorização e dignificação dos profissionais”, como se pode ler no comunicado da plataforma.
