Stock trading by Members of Congress is being criticized as a legalized form of insider trading. The wealth being generated by elected officials, and many of their success in the stock market, is being made possible through legal exceptions granted to Members of Congress through laws that many of them had a hand in altering. And these practices are now being criticized by some on both sides of the aisle.
