We reveal in this episode where you will find the Biggest, editable mushroom in the world.

Welcome to the enchanting world of Northern Namibia, where a natural marvel captures the imagination of locals and adventurers alike - the legendary Omajova mushroom.
The northern part of Namibia is an animal paradise, and it is also home to ancient termite hills with a marvelous secret.
These termite hills hide a secret that is only unlocked during a good rainy season. Shortly after the rains in February, massive Omanjovas or anthill mushrooms will appear overnight.
Our guide tells us that the Omajova mushrooms are vigorously sought after by humans and animals and that they are widely used as food throughout much of Africa.
This is the world’s largest umbrella mushroom with an edible cap that can weigh up to one kilogram, which is about two pounds, and often exceeds more than 40 centimeters, about 15 inches in diameter.
So far nobody has succeeded in growing them commercially.
The secret is carefully protected by its keepers, who are also the inhabitants and masters of the termite hills.

Standing as the largest edible mushroom globally, the Omajova is a true marvel of nature. What makes it even more fascinating is its exclusive habitat - it thrives solely on termite mounds, and strangely, these mounds are partially covered by a protective canopy of trees.
