NEWS #1: American Express is experimenting with an entirely new welcome offer strategy. You may see offers to earn “up to” 150,000 Amex Membership Rewards points on the Amex Platinum Card or “up to” 90,000 Amex Points on the Amex Gold Card. You won’t know what your offer is until you apply and see your offer. Fortunately, you’ll be able to accept the offer or retract your application (in which case there won’t be any change to your credit score or credit report).

NEWS #2: The Wells Fargo Autograph Card MAY get new branding, or 2 all new Autograph credit cards may be launching! In October 2023, Wells Fargo filed 2 new trademarks, 1 for “Wells Fargo Autograph Journey” and 1 for “Wells Fargo Autograph Beyond.” Doctor of Credit is reporting the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey will launch with a $95 annual fee and signup bonus to earn 60,000 points after spending $4K in the first 3 months.

NEWS #3: The Apple Card will likely no longer be issued by Goldman Sachs in the next 12-15 months, due to Apple requesting to exit their contract with Goldman for BOTH the Apple Card and the Apple Savings account. At this time, there’s no info about which card issuer will take over the Apple Card portfolio. Initial rumors mentioned American Express (currently unlikely) and Synchrony Bank (more likely).
