Michael Fish's NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast

Any lake effect snow shower will end early today, otherwise expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with a few flurries possible. Highs will top out in the low-20s. We'll keep things quiet tonight, but it will get a little chilly with lows in the low-single digits. Wednesday looks blustery, but dry with highs in the low-20s. With the fresh, powdery snow, watch for some blowing and drifting, mainly in the open areas, but that does include some of the bodies of water that are covered with ice. Wednesday night, we'll hold onto that wind with lows in the mid-teens. Thursday looks a little milder with highs around 30. Right now, it looks like we pop above freezing from Friday into the weekend with temperatures going well above average. There's something that's going to impact the Upper-Midwest Sunday into Monday, but as of right now, it's way to early to tell what we'll see. There are two models with this system well to the NW.
