In this video I will be disassembling, cleaning and reassembling a Chinese Type 56 SKS. These rifles are often said to be inferior to Soviet designs. However the Chinese manufactured the SKS in greater quantities, for much longer and put them through extensive use. They seem to match and even surpass Soviet SKS designs in quality and functionality.

This particular one was manufactured in 1973.

The audio you are hearing in below order:
1. Report on Sino-India war 1962
2. Opening salvoes in the Sino-Vietnam war.
3. Reports on end of Sino-Vietnam war.

This video is to show the process of disassembly, cleaning and brief reassembly to preserve this rifle and its history for the generations to come.
