“This is a video demo of my wonderful Burns Drifter guitar that I uploaded to support my advert on Ebay. The guitar has now sold. Burns guitars will be forever associated with the British 60's instrumental group 'The Shadows' who played Burns guitars mid to late 1960's. I've tried to capture the Shadows' sound on these three tunes. Played directly into my Korg Digital Studio with only an Alesis Quadraverb (with Echoes From The Past patches installed) in the signal path.
I've re-redone the video of the tune 'Theme For Young Lovers' as my previous video of this tune had a problem (I'd used the audio from my third take of the tune and merged it with the video of my first take by mistake) after 20,000 views only one person noticed! Even I hadn't noticed! Anyway, it's done live and it's all in sync now.
This Burns is a super little guitar and sounds great in a rock setting too. Pickups are Kinman humbuckers in a single coil format that really capture the clean single coil sound without the hum etc.
Finished in Arctic White with a Tort. shell pickguard. This material is original Burns stock left over from their 60's production run of the Hank Marvin guitar. Lovely flame maple neck finished in a golden lacquer. Pickup switching for all 7 available pickup combinations (5 way blade switch plus push pull tone pot). Comes with custom Burns flight case (by Hiscox)
Gold hardware.
Sperzel locking tuners.
Point tremelo system.

Made in 1997 (limited run of this model so it is rare) and spent the last 10 years under my bed!”
