Expect a brief high of 70 in Bakersfield with moderate air quality while the rest of the valley is in the upper 60s this afternoon. There is no wood burning permitted unless you have a registered device. The Kern River Valley tops out in the lower 70s with the upper 60s in the Kern Desert and highs in the mid-60s in Tehachapi and Frazier Park this afternoon.
