SCARBOROUGH: “Well, and — and the fascinating thing is, Chris Matthews, as Vaughn pointed it out, it’s not a witch hunt. It’s not a media that’s in the jury, it’s a jury of his peers, a jury of his peers, whether it’s in New York, that found him guilty of sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll. That’s — that’s not a witch hunt, that’s a jury. It’s not a witch hunt when you have a judge saying that what he did would be defined as rape anywhere else. It’s not a witch hunt, when you have grand juries, whether they’re in Florida, or whether they’re in a Washington D.C., or whether they’re anywhere else across America, it’s juries. And I’ve noticed that these Republicans now of course, they’re supporting a guy who says he can execute his political opponents with SEAL Team Six and not face any charges, I understand that completely, will say anything for Donald Trump. But you have people like Marco Rubio, and Elise Stefanik basically saying the hell with the jury system. We don’t trust juries anymore, because any — anything that goes against Donald Trump, if juries go against Donald Trump, than the hell with a jury system, the hell with a rule of law, nothing applies to Donald Trump. And that’s where we are once again.”
MATTHEWS: “Well, you’ve got 200 people have already pled guilty to felony charges for January 6 at the U.S. Capitol. That’s real business, these people can face up to 18 to 20 years in prison. I think that the law is coming after Donald Trump, and it’s going to get him And I think the same system has worked for those 700 people altogether for either felony or misdemeanor charges that have pled guilty to because of January 6, and the mastermind behind it all is the guy who lied about saying he won the election of 2020 Donald Trump. He lied after the election. He lied on the — on the day of January 6, all through it. And now today, he’s lied about the E. Jean Carrol case. I know E. Jean Carroll. She has to be on my show all the time. I’ve got to say I believe her completely just like the jury did. And I think that they’re going to give a lot of money to her because — maybe $10 million, in addition to everything, because they really believe she’s been hurt by this. I think Trump is just lying all the time. And the people that believe a liar all the time are crazy. And I can’t even understand —“
SCARBOROUGH: “Yeah, and —“
MATTHEWS: “I do not understand why 77 million people out there accept the lying, constantly lying. He did not win the election. If you just asked him, point blankly, tell us the states that he won that we didn’t know about. Did he really win in Georgia —“
SCARBOROUGH: “Right.”
MATTHEWS: “— where he asked the secretary of state for 12,000 votes? Did he really win there?”
SCARBOROUGH: “Right.”
MATTHEWS: “Where did he win? They don’t know. They just follow his lead, his lying.”
