Historic home along the James River in Charles City County. Home to Signer of the Declaration of Independance Benjamin Harrison V and his son President William Henry Harrison.
It is also the site of our nations 1st Thanksgiving. The song Taps was written here.
During the Civil War it was a Headquarter to Gen McClellan and his Union Army. House was also looted and burned by British Gen. Benedict Arnold during the American Revolution.
