The End of the Temple - 70 AD

Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. According to Flavius Josephus over a million Jews were killed and the survivors were forced to flee Judea. In memory of this tragedy Tisha B'Av is observed annually by Jews world wide as a day of mourning for the loss of the Temples and Jerusalem.
