It's always amazing how people can make declarations about issues, despite the fact the Bible says something contrary. There are certain denominations that claim that a Christian can't dance. Yet there's not one Bible verse that takes that stance.

To prove the point, the verse above plainly speaks of dancing. There's no ban on it. The video that's featured; in it are ultra conservative Jews, the Hasidim. If any Old Testament group believed that God was against dancing, it would be them but you see a problem with that notion?

Keep in mind that doing so in a church building, there are some churches that aren't set up for that but dancing itself, isn't a sin or bad. In fact the opposite is true. Dancing is joyous, it's why people go clubbing.

There's something demonic about having such a gift of God, removed from people's lives and saying it's a sin. There are no justifications for a ban on dancing. More than that, it aids the Christian in overcoming temptations, as well as strongholds.

Those struggling, especially with emotional issues...on the physical level, endorphins are released, which many are aware of but engaging in physical activity also produces serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF).

These naturally produce chemicals, occur when we do physical activity, such as exercise or dance. They don't just make a person feel good but they also help brain function. Now imagine any struggle that you are facing and incorporating dance in your life. Talk about changing the outcome of a problem.

Jesus wasn't overexaggerating about Satan's agenda in people's lives. Whenever a person encounters those with man-made rules; it might seem as though they are doing so with good intentions but they often are means to cripple a Christian, not help.

When it comes to dance, it can be done anywhere, at any time. You don't need an audience, nor a dance floor. Doing solo isn't an issue for God. Since it isn't a competition, don't obsess over not being able to do it with skill. Style shouldn't be an issue either, only what you enjoy doing. Those that have to share living space with others and noise is an issue; dance styles like the robot (also known as robotics, roboting, robot dancing, mannequin or dancing machine), is a good option for these types of scenarios. It's also ideal for those with physical problems since it's one of the low impact styles of dance.

Even if you're a quadriplegic and can't move at all; dance with your eyes. The only person that is losing out is you, if you pass up this gift from God.

The only aspect of dancing that is a problem; any type of sensual or sexual styles are inappropriate and even sinful (the Bible clearly warns of not being a sexual temptation to another person), other than dancing in such a way with your married partner.
