The Epic of Gilgamesh

The Epic of Gilgamesh is an ancient Babylonian poem which asks the timeless and universal question: why are we born only to die one day? Being forced to face death, the hero of the story embarks on a quest to acquire the gift of immortality. Even though this ancient piece of literature was written thousands of years ago, its content continues to be relevant even in our modern age.
