KUDLOW: “Thank you. For much more on this let’s bring in general Keith Kellogg, former national security advisor and the Trump Administration and FBI center for American security cochair, thank you very much. It seems I know we are striking back but it seems it is too little too late. What is your read right now?”

KELLOGG: “Thanks for having me. The administration talk about striking but tit-for-tat strikes, if you want to break the cycle, we saw this in the White House. The term I use a super escalate. You have to take it to a level the other party. The irradiance or the houthis are uncomfortable with and don’t have to go to Iran to do it. It is clearly the houthis in violation of international law, attacking gibraltar, us owned cargo ship and what you can do to send a point, target the leadership of the houthis and there’s one single leader, abdul al houthi, the economic leader, if you say we are going to take him out, he is somebody that needs to be taken out. Unfortunately this administration withdrew the terrorist designation we put on them in the previous administration. They need to put it back on, sending a message to Iran, they have a spy ship in the red sea monitoring this traffic going to and from the red sea, sitting there anchored in the red sea, send it to the bottom. This is what we are going to do. To go to Iran to send a message, you have to be a accepting what that entails. Before, when we had an administration willing to take a risk, we knew the consequences, prepared for the consequences. This administration won’t do it. Because of that you see this continue tit-for-tat, back and forth with no resolution to this conflict at all.”
