Wanna see some method acting?

The Mortician
aka Der Sezierer

Once I saw "Method Man" at the top of the disc I imagined I was in for something brutal. It was just the opposite. It was ambitious in its goal, and tried to relate something special. Its not easy to film inner turmoil. And, although they didn't succeed its got enough atmosphere to suggest that in some other dimension it maybe could have succeeded. It doesn't work, but it does a lot right.

The 3D is natively shot and looks like it was done well, but quickly. Which is to say it doesn't go for a lot of deep shots. But still has enough interesting 3D moments to make it worth my while to check out.

This disc is obscure but readily available from Amazon Germany for a very low price. Search for it under its German title.

My copy had some stuttering issues. I was able to rip a clean copy. But I did wonder if it had manufacturing defects.

They made a channel to act as a press kit for this movie:
