This video (about 44 seconds = about 187 minutes in realtime) shows many trails that do not disappear in the sky but just go off into the horizon. This implies they persist for at least hours and probably much longer ending up hazing the sky. The video also shows trails that do disappear in the sky. What is the difference between them. What causes them to be different? A different composition of the trails or a different altitude? I'm hoping somebody can send me the detailed science about trails, in particular condensation trails, about how long types of trails can last under which conditions?
