Practically, identity affects how believers relate to the world around them regarding things like food, entertainment, relationships, etc. The goal is living a life dominated by the Word and Spirit of God, not the flesh or the world's systems. Walking consistently in the reality of our identity in Christ enables victory in spiritual battles.
