ER Wait Times Rise as Flu Spikes

You could experience longer wait times at your local hospital, as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports a sharp increase in flu cases all over the country.  Several people at Gulf Coast Medical Center's ER reported a packed room. Brian Nauman described many people in the waiting room wearing medical masks. "There are some people in there that are sick, it's definitely crowded in there," he said. Over the last two weeks, Lee Health reports more than 300 people tested positive for Influenza B, a huge spike compared to the less than 150 cases reported this time last year.
