Jo's Sourdough Starter and Bread Recipe:

Starter:
1 package dry yeast dissolved in
½ cup flour
1 cup warm water
3/4 cup sugar
3 Tbs. Instant Potato Flakes
Combine ingredients and let stand out all day. Refrigerate that night.
After three days take it out and feed again.

Feed Starter with:
1 cup warm water
3/4 cup sugar
Drizzle of Honey
½ cup flour
3 Tbs. Instant Potato Flakes
Let it set out for at least 8 hours.
Be sure you have fed the starter at least three times before making bread.
Must feed starter every 3-5 days

Bread Recipe:
6 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbs. salt
1 cup starter
1/2 cup corn oil
1 1/2 cup warm water
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
Grease another large bowl. Put Cover wrap and let it stand overnight on the kitchen cabinet.
After 8 - 12 hours punch down.

Divide into three loaves or parts.
Knead each part on a floured board 8 - 20 times.
Put in greased loaf pans (butter or corn oil or spray.
Brush with butter (only if you want to) Let rise out of draft 8 - 12 hours...
(I use a cold oven to let the bread rise.)
(Cover lightly with wax paper or saran wrap if you let the bread rise
on kitchen counter or a table.)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 30 minutes.
