Property rights in Canada fall under the jurisdiction of the province and as we are learning, property rights are severely lacking in our country.

We have recently been introduced to Tommy, who lives in Saint John New Brunswick. Tommy is currently facing an eviction of his home as the province wants to use his land for the future sight of a school. However, things are not adding up... there are no public facing plans for the school, there is no immediate need for a new school and there is conflicting information that the land is in fact going to be used for a future residential project.

Tommy has decided he is going to fight back! This coming Monday he will appear in court with a motion for an emergency injunction to stay the proceedings until all of this can be sorted out. We have asked him to join us tonight to share his story.
