Days of Yore

This is an original tone poem about time and the good old days.

The piece starts off with a constant rhythmic idea in the strings representing the passage of time.

Then the music opens up to recollect on a happy past. But this short-lived moment leads the listener through a constantly changing meter alternating between 3/4 and 6/8 signifying the sometimes-tough times in life.

Finally, the piece returns to an altered passage of time motif in the strings leading to an abrupt end both musically and visually.
