Feral Duck with Broken Leg 😥

The duck received flunixin initially for pain and inflammation and will soon be switched to meloxicam because it is safer in birds for extended use than flunixin. Prophylactic antibiotics are also likely, and I will also use what I have used with success in the past with a broken femur rehab in a goose, which is the peptide BPC -157. I also intend, based on some info I received from another rehabber, to try a topical application of a comfrey containing ointment, which has reported benefits in bone healing.Show more
