iPhone, Adani and Ayodhya: What is the connection?

It is not a new thing that Indian newspapers observe a fast of silence regarding the news of Adani and start chanting Ram-Ram as soon as the name of Ayodhya comes up. But there is a news in today's Washington Post which shows that all is not well in Ram's country. It is absolutely not as it should be according to their dignity. In the month of October, there was an uproar when Apple issued a warning to the iPhones of opposition MPs and journalists that their phones were being hacked by the state. When the needle of suspicion turned towards the Modi government, the government instead blamed Apple and started an investigation. The Washington Post reports that the government is putting pressure on Apple.
ये कोई नई बात नहीं है कि भारत के अखबार अदाणी की खबरों को लेकर मौन व्रत धारण कर लेते हैं और अयोध्या का नाम आते ही राम-राम जपने लग जाते हैं। लेकिन आज के वाशिंगटन पोस्ट में एक ऐसी खबर आई है जिससे पता चलता है कि राम के देश में सब ठीक नहीं है। वैसा तो बिल्कुल नहीं है जैसी उनकी मर्यादा के हिसाब से होनी चाहिए। अक्तूबर महीने में जब विपक्ष के सांसदों और पत्रकारों के आईफ़ोन को ऐप्पल की तरफ से चेतावनी जारी हुई कि आपके फोन को स्टेट की तरफ से हैक किया जा रहा है तब बवाल मच गया। शक की सुई मोदी सरकार की तरफ घुमी तो सरकार ने उल्टा ऐप्पल पर ही आरोप मढ़ दिया और जांच शुरू कर दी। वाशिंगटन पोस्ट की ख़बर बताती है कि सरकार ऐप्पल पर दबाव डाल रही है।
