The nations have been dispersed and surrendered over to the sons of God, and they chose to lead them further away from Yahweh. And now Yahweh's only option other than to destroy and then recreate would be to pursue humanity himself and draw them back to him. So he picks one from among them and positions him in their midst to declare war on the fallen sons of God and their nations with the promise of a new world.
