Current and former city of Detroit employees are victims of a data breach

The thousands of victims were hired before 2016 and officials say it appears the hackers gained their names and addresses for most. There are about 25-hundred whose Social Security numbers were exposed as well. The victims are receiving a free year of credit monitoring.
