Top Gun 3 in the Works with Tom Cruise and Maverick Co-Stars

Paramount is reportedly developing a third Top Gun movie, with Tom Cruise set to reprise his role as Maverick alongside Miles Teller and Glenn Powell. The sequel, which has been in the works since late 2022, will be written by Ehren Kruger and directed by Joe Kosinski, who both worked on Top Gun: Maverick. The news comes after Cruise signed a non-exclusive deal with Warner Bros. to produce and star in movies for the studio. Top Gun: Maverick was a huge hit in 2022, grossing $1.5 billion worldwide and earning praise from Steven Spielberg for reviving the cinema industry. The third installment will follow the adventures of Maverick and his new generation of pilots, 30 years after the original Top Gun.
