Prashar is famous for its stunning lake, green meadows, thick forests, and breathtaking views of the snowy Dhauladhar ranges. The beautiful “Prashar Lake,” about 300 meters around, has a charming floating island in its clear waters.

Next to the lake stands an old Pagoda-style temple dedicated to Rishi Prashar, the beloved deity of the Mandi region. Built by King Ban Sen in the 13-14th century, the temple is unique—it’s said to be made from a single deodar tree, taking 12 years to complete.
