LIVE: Remembering Gonzalo Lira

You might have known him as Coach Red Pill, but his name was Gonzalo Ángel Quintilio Lira López -- Gonzalo Lira for short. This past week he died of pneumonia in a Ukrainian prison, having been jailed for producing videos contrary to the nation's war narrative -- a stark and bitter reminder that only the United States has the First Amendment. My direct experience with him was limited. I knew him as most people did: Through the many, many videos he produced with his young son in mind, he became a surrogate father to tens of thousands of disaffected young men, before his reinvention of himself as a political commentator -- and a dash of unwarranted hubris -- led to his demise.
