And hopefully the plot twist doesn’t come outta nowhere but I think I telegraphed it in the first one back in Marble Zone, the slaves becoming mummies was only the beginning or things to get worse… as they walk around like mummies kept alive by the curse, but they remain aware of the history of what was built and why it’s there-
Unlike zombies.

Which is what I wanted to illustrate with their continuing narrative of the pharaohs bs even after his rule is past. They remain trapped forever in their state of perpetuity. But envy the others who were allowed the release and right to pass on as nature intended: including the pharaohs crush.
