First AR 15 built by Dad and Son

This is our first AR and we chose to build rather than buy. I bought a stripped Anderson lower from my nearest FFL and bought this complete kit from PSA. Shipping was fast. Me and my son built the gun using only normal tools that we had to make / repair computers, car, etc. It took me and my son about 4 hours to build it looking at the picture of the parts list and youtube videos. The complete build kit did not come with any instructions about what to attach before what. We sometimes have to disassemble and reassemble. It also did not come with a rear sight or any magazines. We bought them locally / via internet and added to the AR we built. We then waited for the range day. In my location currently 556 is cheaper than 223 so we bought some 556 and headed towards range. We were very sure that something will fall off when we fire the first mag. Oh boy! it shot straight, dot on target. We were thrilled beyond description. We shot approximately 300 rounds 556 so far and it shot like a champ. This is definitely one of the best 500 bucks I have ever spent. I taught my son how to build a computer when he was in middle school. He self learned fixing cars on his own/ from his friends. We were never shy about learning a new skill. When I can build something that I have never built before that is a win. When we build something gubmint does not want us to build but is not illegal is double winner. When that thing works like champ on the first build that is 3 times more fun!
